Golf Exercise Drills with MotionGuidance®

The video below utilizes different straps sizes and mount system depending on what body part you are using. You can purchase our "head or trunk laser kit", our "knee laser kit", or our "clinic kit" which has straps for all body parts and the rechargeable green laser. Check out our main menu to browse different kits and products.

Are you a Coach?

This is an amazing tool for coaching biomechanics. The "clinician kit" is the choice product as it has all the body straps and targets. You can use the laser in any way you feel valuable to change and cue form: have your client wearing the laser on their head, trunk, or knee, and move them into the desired position, then set a target on that spot where the laser is projecting. This will create a cue to reproduce exact desired position of head each time. Cue up exact desired positions with a floor or wall target and replicate each time and visualize how consistent your movements are during your swing. These cues will differ depending on what your clients' needs are, but see the below video to get ideas. By setting a visual marker, then having the client "get back there on their own", we use optimal learning techniques which are valuable in skill retention and performance.

GOLF SPECIFIC EXERCISE with MotionGuidance®:

This video takes you through applications of the Motion Guidance device for rotational activities during athletics. The example application is for Golf and utilizing visual feedback at the trunk, head, and knee. Both casual golfers and professional instructors can benefit from ideas of how to improve performance using the Motion Guidance system.

Golf Application 1: Torso

Visualize how much your torso is moving during your swing, and learn how to maximize your rotation and drive power. Cue up exact desired positions with a floor target and replicate each time and visualize how consistent your movements are during your swing.

Golf Application 2: Head

Visualize how much your head is moving during putting, and how consistent you are at isolating movement.

For coaches, you can use the laser in any way you feel valuable to change and cue form: move head to desired position, then move a floor target to where the laser is pointing: this will create a cue to reproduce exact desired position of head each time. Cue up exact desired positions with a floor target and replicate each time and visualize how consistent your movements are during your swing.

Golf Application 3: Leg / Thigh position

Visualize where your hip and knee is in space during a swing: maximize power by proper hip coordination and placement during backswing and power drive. Cue up exact desired positions with a floor target and replicate each time and visualize how consistent your movements are during your swing.
